South African Journal of Occupational Therapy (SAJOT)
The South African Journal of Occupational Therapy (SAJOT) is the official journal of the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa (OTASA) and is a leading publication for research into occupational therapy in Africa. We publish scientific articles from around the globe that contribute to the scientific and philosophical foundations of the profession and have reference or relevance to service delivery in Africa. SAJOT is an open access journal that is published annually in April, August and December. As an open access journal its content is globally available, immediately, at the time of publication, on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The first edition of SAJOT was published in 1953 (Vol1 No 1, Aug 1953) and since then the journal provides a platform for debate around issues relevant to Occupational Therapy in Africa which will also contribute to the development of the profession worldwide.
- SAJOT is published in April, August and December annually.
- The journal is Open Access (OA) which means free, immediate, online availability of articles.
- There is no cost to read an article. Past journals are also freely available in the Archives section.
