When do you join OTASA?

The OTASA membership year runs from 01 January to 31 December.

All new members pay a registration fee on joining OTASA for the first time.

A reinstatement fee is payable if you want to re-join after a lapse of membership

MEDICAL PROTECTION SOCIETY (MPS) BENEFITS

For MPS membership you would need to complete an additional registration form, request the forms from otoffice@otoffice.co.za
NB: If you are already an MPS member, you do not complete a form again.
OTASA is the administrative arm of the Medical Protection Society (MPS) (This includes NON OTASA MPS membership) MPS provides support to members with ethical and legal problems that might arise from their professional practice and, members have access to expert advice from local medico-legal advisors and where appropriate legal assistance and compensation for patients who have been harmed through negligent treatment.
